If I'm not wrong, I believe Rivera had done something to make them react that way as foreshadowed from the note that fl will be loved by "countless." It was done purposefully, so that the ml will get agitated but shes also a divine beast and her mana can attract mages. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
I like the story and all because of the mysterious conflict between the church, the imperial family, and divine beats, but the overglazing and unnecessary “pedestal” on the MC is starting to “cringe” me out - it’s starting to be corny and the plot to be predictable. Especially that “adoration” from the other mages and the bland ML getting mad over the attention lol - the second hand embarrassement and that’s just one of the cringe scenes on this manhwa kms
