Yes and no, he does become submissive but he likes it and begged juyeon not to leave him, they’re both emotionally attached to each other. Jiwook hallucinated and tried to kill himself on accident so juyeon made him go to therapy/take medication. Jiwook constantly would hurt himself or make mistakes so that juyeon would pay attention to him such as breaking plates. He becomes a masochist too wanting juyeon to choke or punch him during sex. He’s not afraid to run, he does not want to run. Neither of them want to let go.
As far as I have seen . Thats not really how it goes . In the original novel the top simply wants to take revenge which breaks him as well since he can't gwt out of this condition either but I still think the bottom has it harder . And there was no twisted love or something they r simply in a messy condition ....

Your description was wrong too, I never said there was twisted love, I said they're attached to each other and jiwook does not want to escape. Did you read the side stories? I mentioned that jiwook does things for juyeon's attention on purpose. They're the only ones that know each other's trauma hence why they rely on each other. Jiwook does tell juyeon to not leave him because he's unemployed and has nothing left which makes him feel like he has no purpose so he doesn't want juyeon to leave him.
So I'm dropping this . And here's why
* the bottom did some horrible stuff to the the top in the past but the revenge top took was way beyond and more.........so the top clearly crossed the lines . ....and it has a shitty terrible ending . The bottom become submissive unable to break free and except his fate . No he did not fall in love he's just too afraid to run ...he doesn't even wanna suicide cz he doesn't know what the top might do to him . The top wins and keeps on tormenting the bottom forever . ....thats it ..that the ending .
So I will say its a shitty story and I dont want to read it anymore .
