The fights did seem rushed as in no training montage and such beside backstories and the likes but imo only because of the ending it’s at a solid 2/10. Jk def agree with 8 maybe even 7.8 it just didn’t have the emotional effect that it was hyped to have. Also fuck K. Lowk wish it gave more towards their lives after and seeing them all hang out or meet up once in a while instead of just text boxes of what they did and when they retired
Agree so much. Like, I get Yu is the mc who is seen as the genius of the century but I guess I really want to see more training arc not some simple orders like “don’t get hit” and what so. It even felt dragged on for the pasts arc and because of that, the ending didn’t feel that much impactful. Still a good read but not enough for me to re-read it.
It was a good read but not as much as how other people will call it “peak” for me. Like, yeah, it had a really good story build up but the ending was just meh and some characters are really poorly written. Just wished there were some really big arcs here and there that made me feel like this was worth the read. Other than making me feel sick in the stomach for K and feel sorry for the other contenders, I guess that’s it. Yu deserves a better ending than that and I also want to see K suffer. Overall, it’s just 8/10 for me
