Zhenya is not gonna suffer lol (Although I don't know about the second novel since I haven't found a translation for that one yet).
His sister Olga will visit them shortly, Zhenya will cross another serious line and almost kill Taekjoo (again), Taekjoo escapes back to Korea with Olga's help to deal with who set him up for this shitshow in the first place.
Zhenya follows him to Korea and they make up quite fast. Taekjoo realizes, that he isn't gonna get rid of Zhenya anytime soon and accepts him as his official boyfriend because trying to refuse is basically more trouble than it's worth, Zhenya gets transferred to Korea as the Russian ambassador.
It's basically Russia's way of saying to Taekjoo: 'He is YOUR problem now. Good luck and don't let him come back to Russia. We don't want him anymore and are glad to be rid of him. And since trying to kill him didn't work the first few times, we'll now appoint you as his official babysitter and hope, he doesn't cause a diplomatic incident while in Korea.' lol

I'm not sure what exactly happens in the second novel, so I can't really answer that. There might be something like that in that one though.
Zhenya would definitely deserve it. I like him as a character but if he were a real human being, I'd stay far far away from him lol.
Update: Doesn't currently seem like Zhenya is gonna get some kind of comeuppance for now. Im 10% into the second novel and so far they are all lovey dovey with each other. Almost disgustingly so
