I gave up

I was in LOVE with this one. The story felt so solid and like everyone else, I was hoping for growth. I made it to around chapter 60 in a day before I ran out and decided to wait for more. I still haven't picked it back up and now I'm not sure I will. Let's be real, Ian was shitty to Jo and the trauma bond he has with TJ (let's not pretend for even a second that it's love. It's not) was just stronger than what Jo had to offer.
It's a very realistic ending - right back into the cycle we thought Ian wanted to break free from.
It makes me so sad and physically ill to think about even though I haven't read it in a while. The good guy doesnt always have to win, but what i enjoy is the transformation. Ian realizing he was bad for Jo is true. But what's worse was that he's not willing to separate from what makes him a hazard to everyone but TJ.
THAT isn't growth. That's not transformation. So I'm not about to get blueballed into a "happy" ending when we all read the same story..... ugh I'm so upset.....

My ideal ending was for Ian to be alone btw.. I think given his personal circumstances and how really no one in this story is good for each other, Ian should have been alone to heal - same with the rest of them..
