It’s implied yes. That’s the whole reason why he wasn’t comfortable being the bottom. If you reread the scene where they first have penetrated sex you will notice that Tennessee tried to touch Amber’s backside while bending him over, which in chapters beforehand was mentioned as the same way Hurston abused him (by bending him over from behind). They also specifically stated at one point that Hurston had even fingered him. I assume this is also the reason as to why Tennessee cut off his hand. Almost as to say he shouldn’t have touched him and never will again.
And just so you know they never actually show him being abused. They only talk about it in past tense, so that’s why there’s those warnings in the beginning of those chapters. Here are all the current warnings up till ch 30.
