I suck at remembering names but here I go:

It all started with the dismembered guy from the mountain, that led to yang (his brother I think, or business partner, idk) as a possible culprit. Also, sehwa is involved since mountain guy bragged about being in business with them. Then a rando blondie came forward, said he killed mountain guy. Yang was off the hook for now, but yi-eum couldn’t let it go, kept investigating. Went to yang’s house with prosecutor jung, where he heard noises in the shed. Went inside, finds a guy (forgot his role), and the door looks behind them. Yang sets the entire thing ablaze. Suddenly, yi-eum and jung are saved, and ceo choi later confesses to him that he had his men save the detective. A new problem arises as yang is now impossible to find. We as the reader know this is because choi had him dismembered cause he’s pissed because of what happened to yi-eum. But yi-eum doesnt know. He finds a witness that was there that day, says yang was forced into a black car. Yi-eum finds out the license plate via that info and gets a pic of that car’s model. He finds the rando homeless dude who sold his private info and has the car under his name, determines dude was just hungry and not a culprit. Then he hits up junkyards, trying to find the car, actually does find it and voila, there’s DNA traces inside. Those are currently off for testing, and that’s it up till now.

I forgot: the original dude who confessed killed himself in prison when the shed was set on fire, so the fact that yi-eum was still investigating a cold case was now a good thing even though he was getting bad rep from his boss for it before (as mentioned in the chapter)

And now the Case is off to HQ cause yi-eum barely made progress lately.
