I just don’t understand why his brother would do that to him . Gosh I wish I saw this comment before I started reading . I would have left it to be completed cause reading it left me in a state of anxiety. Ohhh my heart . It feels sooo heavy
as parts of the plot reveal themselves and slowly get pieced together, i realize white genoa was not an outlier, and in fact a short demonstration of this author's sick penchant for masking a curve ball of an excruciating tale built on pain, despair, and everything unfair. my poor, sick hima has been given the worst fucking hand where his lover hates his true identity, his friend was brainwashed into hating him, and his brother that he gave everything up to protect, in turn, was misled into hating his guts and now wishes for confirmation of his death while serving (likely, sexually) the very man who made their and everyone else's life hell on the last remaining pieces of society on this earth. all of this not even mentioning the terrible future shown in the first few chapters where hima has relinquished the last remaining pieces of himself to be eaten, raped, and abused just to bring back some food for his lover, WHO DOESNT EVEN APPRECIATE IT AND BELIEVES HIS 'STRONG' FRONT, GUIDING HIM COLDLY WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING NOT ONLY HOW MUCH HE HAD GONE THROUGH BUT ALSO GIVEN UP THEN AND NOW TO ENSURE THE CHAINS THAT BOUND HIM HIS WHOLE LIFE WOULDNT ENSLAVE THE ONE HE LOVES MOST TOO.
