Jaehyuk put his desire for emotional fulfillment (being openly gay and declaring his love for his boyfriend) over Graham's need for emotional, psychological and physical safety (remaining in the closet).
That's abusive.
Until Jaehyuk realizes the severity of what he did, he is not a safe person to be around and Garam is 100% right to physically remove himself from that situation.
Maybe with support garam could learn to trust and come out to more people, but Jaehyuk doing this proves why his fears are well-founded.
And it's not like all the homophobia and harassment Garam delt with is some distant past. It was the start of his current relationship and it could be any rough homophobic stranger that decides to target him at any point in the future.
Being out to friends and family is one thing, but Jaehyuk just tried to come out in the middle of a very public and busy courtyard.
THATS INSANELY DANGEROUS.
Describing Jaehyuk as abusive doesn't match the scene or the motivations that lead him to try to out them to those friends. He just thought it was meaningless to try to avoid the situation by pilling lies. Even Garam would agree it's exhaustive to put yourself in this living theater to hide a substantial and important part of you.
The intention wasn't to fulfill himself, but to act pragmatically in front of the situation. Does it mean it was right? Not necessarily, since he didn't check with Garam beforehand, however Jaehyuk discovered himself a few months ago, so it's not surprising that him do not know the full impact and implications of that huge step in a society like Korea.
I am not arguing here, I only wanted to point out that in this chapter there were no bad guys nor heroes, but rather two guys with different queer backgrounds facing the problematic of deciding how much of their private life they want (and eventually must) reveal to their friends.
Besides that, Garam already has friends he can talk to about his relationship, he has a social network that supports his life as a queer person. Jaehyuk doesn't. It's completely understandable to see him seeking to share his romantic life with his friends and family. A secret love it's thrilling in the beginning, but no one wants to live like that forever.
Of course, Garam is not in the wrong here, I think he deserves to be heard and understood, especially considering his complicated past with being forcibly outed. But this doesn't mean Jaehyuk abused him. This word is very harsh for the current situation.

like i love garam so so much and i love this whole story so much but this is really stupid. if I'm being honest, i definitely am on the same side as jaehyuk. yk when you love someone so much you always get this desire to tell the whole world and I'm sure this is what jaehyuk feels. garam's problem is that he's still holding on to the past and in no way will this ever result in anything good. he's just basing his whole life on a single experience or so. i hope he can gain the courage to live freely because as long as he's holding on to his past, he'll do nothing but hurt himself and hurt jaehyuk, who would literally do everything in his power for him.
