Hmmm......how beautifully bittersweet

I really love this series so much and the way the author has been building out the depth of both relationships, but ultimately, though I started as a TJxIan fan, I was a JoxIan fan at the end because Ian deserved to be with someone so good to him and it hurts ....

THAT BEING SAID, I love how that is literally THE point...and the author beautifully portrays this realistic aspect of Ian's choice in ch.98 - he and Jo COULD'VE been happy and had a great, beautiful relationship but now, Ian is ACTIVELY choosing what he has always truly wanted and has the confidence now to pursue.

Someone else said it but at the end of the day, Ian will never love Jo the same way he loves TJ - they've been through too much sh*t together but at this point, Ian could never let Jo go through such sh*t so it would never be the same. ALSO, the truth is TJ and Ian never really ended because they never really started - they were always in limbo b/c Ian knew TJ would never chose him over the org, so he never made a serious move until he built up the confidence little by little in this series through each decision starting with leaving the org. This story is ultimately about Ian realizing the kind of life and love that he truly wants/needs and gaining the confidence to truly pursue it through Jo, who helped him discover he could love in a different, healthy way. However, it became a chain reaction in the end where Jo changed Ian, who ultimately changed TJ, and now, Ian and TJ ave FINALLY really chosen each other and can be together - which is sweet in its own right because they had been through so much to be together but bitter because of what Jo and Ian could've also had....

But ain't that the real world ha.....
