To see this king go from being cold and cruel to being a doting father to his daughter (the future leader) and then a fool for his wife. It’s just too funny and then again this whole family is full of oddballs Blanches magical but not magic power of understanding animals, Abigail’s black mana which she had no idea about at first which allows her to caste or dispel curses, Sablien who is just somehow gone from ill boy to cruel husband/cold father to now an actual family ma ruler (especially when he had such distrust for Abigail that even thought she cursed him) and Verite/Oberon a genius mage who just turned his personality around because of Blanche’s love but is like so OP. And what I mean what’s odd is more their personalities for this kind of time period. All of them kind of walk to the beat of their own drum that it stumps people
