There is a novel if you really want to read ahead, but I’d suggest fully reading it from the start since it has a lot more detail.
aside from Makoto and his crew the only human/hyumans i give any fucks about is Hibiki and her crew and Makoto's students and other allies (like Rembrandt). i also don't care about the demons though they at least seem less prejudiced

The guy hero is a scumbag, I both hate and pity him.
