Lol there are some stories that you may not care for the characters as you do other stories and their characters, but you still wanna know what’s gonna happen and it hasn’t gotten bad enough for you to just drop yet.
In my opinion, this is one of those. Not every story or plot needs to be full of love or wholesome content, it’s not like I am into the abuse of their relationship nor am I even blaming the guy for falling into the trap of that relationship, but it is fiction (the story, not saying crap like this is impossible in reality) and although a red flag of a plot, it’s still interesting because we wanna know why this is happening. What I may not like is the reasoning behind it, and that’s sometimes due to antagonist characters having poor development or a terrible excuse for their redemption arc. Not every antagonist needs one, some can be bad guy just to be a bad guy, but those types have to be written and played out well to work right within a story.
