This story just raises blood pressure man. I feel terrible for MC who is actually doing so well in fighting back, until he is drugged out of his mind. I keep waiting for a turning point in dialogue, nuances, or approach from the ML but it just gets worse. MC has nerves of steel to still be sane. I guess the plot armor of a cop background is working extra hard.
