I honestly don’t get Heabom, no matter how much I try. I’ve seen this trope in so many yaoi stories where one partner decides, “I want what’s best for them, so I should leave,” especially because they think a same-sex relationship will hold their partner back from a “normal” life. But how is that love? If you truly care about someone, wouldn’t you at least talk to them first instead of deciding everything on your own? They’re adults, yet instead of communicating, they jump straight to ghosting or breaking up without explanation. That’s not selfless—it’s just hurtful. Communication is the bare minimum. PLEASE just talk to each other.
