Oh yes, it's painful! And when Nathan finds out the truth later, that Alex did that all to protect him, and about that picture, damn ... he will be devastated, I love them, but there's a long way ahead need to reread the novel in the meantime I think

I read it some time ago, so I don't remember all details, of course Nathan will help Alex with his rut, and as much as he'll try to keep it 'professional' he's feelings didn't change, and damn, the chemistry is overloaded!
But back to that piece, it's later, Nathan goes on a school reunion meeting, he learned there about everything that has happened in the past and how they made 'fun' of Alex, and of course he knows he wasn't there on that picture, he's damn pissed, but Alex is not there, Nathan went to him right after that, but he found Alex attacked in front of his house as I remember correctly, and he's there fighting for his life, but it's a happy ending, and Nathan is one of the most devoted lovely partner, seriously, he loves Alex from the bottom of his heart, we just need to go through some angst ahead

No problem at all, I love them, seriously, got attached to them the same way as I was to Karlyle and Ash (same universe) need to reread the novel for sure!!
I know why he hates him but since we know the truth it just makes me sad
