To help her… that was the entire plot point… did you not read that? They say it quite literally that he came because ML contacted him and he decided to help MC out by coming early.
I understood the plot point just fine. My issue isn’t with the reason he came, it’s with how the author is using it. They’re clearly trying to revive a love triangle that didn’t need to exist in the first place. A love interest isn’t the only reason for someone to help you unconditionally.
What I’m saying is, it would’ve been better if they’d just become friends or acquaintance like the merchant girl MC helped, or her best friend.

Oh dang it double well anyways I just really want the mc to have more reliable people around her since she was lonely her first life it would have been nice rather than having a love interest
Bruh Idk anymore I just finished reading chap 108 and he felt like an older brother now. His giving me mix signals but I like that much better if they lean towards that kind of relationship. (⌒▽⌒)
Then that’s why you thought it was a revival. It’s not. He may still like her but he’s not pursuing her anymore. He just genuinely wants to help someone he likes and respects. The author isn’t doing anything and he didn’t come on his own either. ML asked him to come. There’s no revival. They aren’t fighting for the right to be by her side, they are just being by her side in different ways ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

Well that's what I saw and thank God it didn't go there so far the story is soooo good! I have high expectations because of the previous chapters I really like the friend she didn't felt like a robot she earns top 1 best side character for me ╥﹏╥
