Okay so imma be totally honest and say I dropped (chap 30-40 don't really remember)this shi bc it was utterly predictable that Ian was going to end up with TJ. I want to start off by saying that I do like all the characters and how they actually have complex personalities like real ppl. At the same time this is sum bullshit that could have gone way better. I get having a person you can't help want and feel attracted to no matter how dirty they have done you and the amount of history you have together ( been there done that)but that is no excuse for staying in a toxic relationship(like hello? Wheres yourself respect?? Find it??!!!). Let's get one thing clear Ian knew that what he and TJ had wasn't real love( not saying comfortability isn't, but when it's toxic it's certainly not love). That is why Ian left in the first place. Ian needed someone that could help him live a normal life(deservingly so)and that was Jo( yes he does have the personality of unseasoned chicken but that literally the whole point).The lesson that could have come out of this, is that you can come out of a cycle no matter the hurt that comes from it, and jo doesn't necessarily have to had been end game for that message, he could have just been that one person that your thankful for that helped you realize that cycle was gonna be the end of you. Ian could have found that message and found happiness for himself after all those awful things that have happened to him. A lukewarm but morally gray path that he deserved.
