happened to me with salt society translation I was SHOCKED like. 65€ for a translation...
Yep, and the translations usually suck ass, like average fanfic from AO3 is written in better english... It makes you wonder if original novels weren't that great in the first place

tbf salt society's translation on readhive and on cherrymist were fine even if each translator didn't write the names the same way
It wasn't like some MTL that are barely readable
is there any place to read OTHER than cherry mist? Raws? I’d rather go with MTL than pay like $70 for a TRANSLATION OR WAIT TILL 2027 FOR ALL TRANSLATIONS TO BE RELEASED.
I’m genuinely confused because it doesn’t make sense how that many novel translations can be pumped out in little time, and also is egregious the amount charged. Sure, you translated it. But that wasn’t even your original work? Perhaps I’d be down to pay $20 or maybe even $30, but $70??? Probably costs less to buy the actual novel atp.
