No, they showed that some mysterious spirit (probably omi) had traded spiritfire in exchange for leaving that captain of the guards unharmed, and later omi explains that he'd been hoarding spiritfire to gain a human existence (but he's still a goblin now)
Damnit i posted that comment before completing it. What i was tryna say was that snake being used that spiritfire to gain a mortal shell (which for some reason happens to look like doram????)
Maybe the snake god(?) can disguise? so he chooses to disguise as Doram or his long lost brother
