The author is unfortunately not experienced enough to show properly the depth of domestic and emotional abuse and how it affect blondie in long term. It's really had to get yourself out of abusive relationship.
When it comes to consequences, we already know that the orange paycho's dad is someone on a high position with the police. No matter what illegal shit he does, he will most likely notbface consequences. Blondie already reported him, the police swept it under the rug and he ended up getting another round of abuse from orange, once he found out. It's pretty heay topic, but the author doesn't have it in them to tackle it properly

I'm tilting so fucking hard. You accept a plant from you're abusive obsessive ex who assaulted you sexually and then you don't explain anything properly to MC but expect him to trust you, yes it would be better if MC trusted ml but why, genuinely he's set this all up as a fake relationship and keeps pushing him away at arms length, then getting baited by blackmail.. yknow of a guy illegally taking footage from inside your house... Hidden cameras in someone else's property is definitely enough to at least try to push back with legal means, stupid it even happened though. Then the stupid brown haired guy being the most angry at everyone doormat like grow a fucking backbone, and the dumbass blue hair who sticks around with mls ex because 'idk he's popular'. Universities have cameras so the assault on brown hair could've also had action taken but no nobody is ever fucking using their brains, genuinely one of the most frustrated I've been with one of these types of plotlines, because everyone has established brains but nobody is using them and the villain's plans are so elementary level and illegal beyond bounds and so obvious and out in the open it's bizarre that the author is giving him some kind of divine intervention to not get caught, like letting someone steal from a store with full CCTV and security because apparently nobody has a functioning frontal lobe
