To assert his authority - and obviously it has something to do with his mum which is why he hadn’t touched Pinky. It’s hard to explain but similar to how he was a kid everyone around him is there for a reason. They gain advantage from him in result he’s able to do almost whatever he wants. ((I explained this very very badly but this doesn’t really explain why he killed him bcs he’s innocent but just why he can kill him ig))

He killed the man to show that he is not to be taken lightly by a mere concubine. His whole survival depends on his power to rule as Padishah and killing is second nature to him to prove his authority.
