I read this all for the first time today so here’s your walkthrough. This “death during delivery” debate in the comments wasn’t the problem for the mc. Originally mc was thinking of aborting his first child. But the Dr said that this could be worse for him and have something awful happen due to MC getting that surgery many years ago. I’m sorry but I can’t remember if the Dr specifically said death but it was super implied it was awful consequences (and I think a lot of readers assumed death was that something awful-unless doctor said it himself- I’ll be honest, I went through a lot reading this today haha. Can’t remember the exact words of death was exactly mentioned but the vibe was heavily there). MC also said throughout the pregnancy- before ML knows he’s an omega- that he’s only having the baby because it’s basically his only option (since abortion would have been potentially risky). That is also why he tells his mother-when she brings up a second child- he reminds her how the 1st child was only because he had to have him. Though obviously he loves him unconditionally now. He reminds her that the only reason baby 1 happened was because abortion was off the table and it was a mistake. Also I think him just having no active pheromone glands or whatever was possibly worrisome for the doctor and him during pregnancy (which that issue during his pregnancy is what made it hard but it wasn’t to the point they were worried about him dying). ultimately the abortion route could have been WAAAAY worse and that is why he originally decided to deliver the baby.
