The point is to grab the attention of readers on the official platform because said readers would spend coins on each chapter to know what's next. By adding (poorly written) tension, it creates a need to arrive to a conclusion later. But i agree, I would've preferred if it was about them adopting children
Author could've easily just made more heartwarming and sweet moments or continue the story with them adopting kids or literally ANYTHING else than this out of the ass made up conflict/angst. Hell, they could've made a whole new series, and we would all read in a heartbeat. What's the point of ruining a well established well liked story? I dont understand this decision at all.
