Lowkey, this is an interesting exploration of the concept of gender dysphoria, but with secondary genders. Also, a lot omegaverse romance will have the couple proclaim they'd still love each other the same, even if they weren’t an Alpha/omega (only time actually believed that was with an omega x omega couple). But this is often framed as being the purest form of love. I think for straight cis women, because it feels so common to be reduced from being a whole person down to just a pair of tits and vagina, being told you’re loved regardless of your gender sounds incredibly romantic. Ex: “would you love me if I was a worm?” lol. But I think for a lot of queer relationships, our gender being part of the equation, doesn’t carry that same negative connotation.
