This is honestly one of the most heartbreaking and viscerally disturbing BLs I’ve read in recent memory… Roha had finally found some semblance of peace with Raon, but the sexual & physical torture and verbal abuse Garon had subjected him to for so long had broken him and fostered the codependency that led Roha back to him, despite the fear and disgust he felt towards him. When that abuse is the only thing you’ve known for so long, its absence can make you feel like you need it to feel whole, drawing you away from the people who love you and back towards the trauma as a form of self-harm. If we’re to take the story at face value and not immediately write it off as torture porn (which is difficult lol), I feel like it works best as a tragedy meditating on the cycle of abuse. Garon deserves fire and brimstone
Raon is a nonce and had literally been attracted to Rita since he was a child. He's a creep. Garon is someone who was sexually abused by his own mum and was raised to be a monster.

They met for the first time two years ago when Roha was already an adult lmfao what are you talking about. But ya Garon’s mother’s abuse is def what fucked up his relationship with his sexuality and made him view sex as a kind of power struggle or a way to assert his dominance

In the novel he was a child and he started picking women who looked like Roha. He literally groomed him.

Well that’s disgusting and indefensible but it’s very much not the case in the manhwa (which has evidently diverged in canonicity) and I’ve never read the novel so all I can do is take the manhwa on its own merit bro
