I think we should not forget that Sharuka had to wipe the entire empire clean so that he can ascend the throne due to the whole politics and backstabbing crap even with his own family. That was the reason why he sent Tei away and came back only after the kingdom was stable and is under is command. So yeah, it’s safe to say that Sharuka is a little psycho when it comes to control, especially power wise in the kingdom. But Tei is the only exception. I truly believe that he genuinely and sincerely love him and tries his hardest not to show Tei his other side; because Tei is more on the good moral aspect—and don’t want to taint him with that.
