I am sure the author will explain everything and make them happy together at the end after all of this. However, there will always be this unspoken "what if" lingering in the air forever...
Not replying to my messages right away? What if he left me again.
Being late from work? What if he left me again.
Seeing mother playing with children during a walk? What if he leaves me to get a "normal" life again.
Anxiety. Panic. Control. Possessiveness. Insecurity. The little voice in your head thinking about the worst scenarios that simply cannot seem true but they could be after all because you know this happened before.
The fact that instead of facing problems together he decided to leave you. Just like that.
He vowed to spend lifetine together, in the good times, and in the bad times. But when bad times came, he chose to break you.
Was he fighting for us? Was this really the only solution, or was it the easiest one?
Even with a happy ending and bullet-proof explanation of Haebom choices, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I am afraid the damage done to this story is irreparable which deeply pains me.
