She spent a year trying to maintain their relationship, to talk to him and understand. He neglected her, and honestly had she not stated a desire to dissolve the engagement who knows for how long his neglect would have lasted.
His frustration is understandable, taking it out on her is not. The reason why shes making such obtuse conclucsions and twisting logic like a pretzel is because shes trying to recontextualize his actions with what to her is an absolute truth, that he hates her. I would be so happy if she does get the engagement broken and hes desperately trying to win her back, only shes not making this easy. Would be nice to make him work to earn her favour, while hes breaking from fear and jealousy that shes growing closer to someone eho does respect her
