This is nothing yet, I watched a Japanese anime where the MC found a little girl and then took care of her like his own child... But after I finished watching the anime and because I thought it would be interesting, I continued reading the LN, and found out what happened... The MC ended up marrying the girl he had taken care of since she was little... In the end I stopped watching the continuation of the story, because it seemed like the writers were just inspiring their wet imagination into a story they created.
I've even given up on anything that has a Japanese feel to it, especially the romance they create, whether it's manga, anime or drama. (￣∇￣")
