Im.not like defending anyone here. Let's be honest jjk doesn't understand what's going on with his emotions. The only emotions this man knows and understands would be anger and betrayal. He doesn't get that the feeling he feels towards dan are fear and (dare I say it ) love. His father's abusive and his mother is dead. He's never felt love from anyone (minus his gym coach ) but hes literally the exact same person as Jjk.so it feels more so respect sorta. Love is something hes never felt or known since he was young. So he doesn't understand how to show the sadness and it automatically goes to anger because he just doesn't understand.
On the other hand. Poor baby dan is traumatized from jjk so he just wants to get out because he feels like hes nothing but a burden. Dan's felt like a burden all his life and its juts gotten worse with jjk. But dan doesn't understand what jjk feels because he doesn't understand his own feelings (jjk) So dan just wants to leave because hes "a burden" "unwanted " and hes afraid because hes love jjk before and he got hurt and now jjk was being nicer to him so it scared him into leaving sooner.
