there is an age gap it just isnt large. not having an age gap would mean they are the same age which they aren't. shes like 21 and he is 19. people would have been weirded out by it because when they first met he was seventeen. people are always weirded out when one character is a minor. honesty it feels like the author wanted to do a school arc at the start but have him date someone older and thats why their age gap is so small. its the most acceptable gap even though to me it makes no sense for her to be 19 at the start of the story. their romance was the only part of the story that felt like a retroactive decision by the creator, like the romance wasn't in the initial plan for the story at all and its what makes me feel like the author retroactively lowered he age after she'd already been introduced. this would also mean jurion is around 21
You can't call 19 and 21, an age gap couple. But I agree that people get weird about stuff like this. Which is why I really like Gestella and how they introduced her. No one could say shit even though a lot are saying she's the longest of the Top 10 or smth like that. Not necessarily that she's the oldest but length of title holder wise. I just feel like people are judging Jiyoung a lot. Did they just want her to die alone? Or end up in a loveless marriage? Same with Jiwoo. Do they just want him to end up with a rando? I buy chapters on Webt00n but read in advance here, since it was first on there, Jiwoo is stubborn and denying his romance with Jiyoung is the same as denying Kayden wanting to get stronger.
If you add the age gap tag on a 19 and 21 yo couple, the comments would probably be angry lol. As per age, I'm inclined to think the opposite because it's why Jihsuk admires his sister a lot and why they had such a tough time. It's in the early double digit chapters that show them really young and close in age. So yeah, I don't think it was a decision on the fly.
No gestella is the oldest in the literal sense she is very old age wise. she held her title the longest but she is also physically the oldest person in the series. kyden is older as well if i remember hes the creator said he is an old man. i think most people were thrown off about the romance. i know i was, it wasn't introduced well at all. him blushing understandable, hot older woman but her blushing like that to a minor was very weird. they made her act like a little school girl with a crush which in real life do and will creep people out. people will act runny for an 18 and 16 year old dating and the law looks at both ages very differently as well. also a gap is still a gap no matter how small, most people place her at two years older but it can be three. meaning she would have been 20 to his 17 in the worst case (and personally at twenty i wouldnt have found a 17 year old attractive enough to blush).no one expects them to stay single i think everyone would like to see them together but their introduction to each other was undeniably creepy and icky on the age level. the author should have waited until around this time in the story to slowly start making it look like they were building feeling for each other not that almost instant thing that happened. it reads like a couple that were dating but didn't label it as dating because one of them is a minor or an adult grooming a minor to date them when they become legal.

I also don't like romance in action/adventure stuff, but Jiwoo liking Jiyoung started as early as chapter 120, and even before, when they met each other first, he already found her pretty! Don't be acting like boy moms, and there's no age gap! They are age appropriate! Or are you just finding it weird since the girl is the one older? Pls don't act like those overbearing boy moms and see that the romance isn't being forced. It's been slow and intentional.
