none of the violence in this was consensual. Even if he agreed to let him beat him to protect Fumi, that is extortion and is still categorized as rape or sexual assault
I agree here about this situation being rape. If it was consensual then he wouldn't need balckmail or to beat him up to get him to comply. I'm not naive to know there are some out there that consent and enjoy this type of play or relationship (and I don't fault anyone for that if they agree to it much like an S/M relationship); however in this case, this story, it's rape/blackmail and there is no denying it. I just feel for Ryo. I can relate.
I will finish it even though the subject matter is VERY hard to deal with. I feel for Ryuoka because he is lonely and just wants to fit in but small town assholes like that guy and his gang make it virtually impossible. Once you have a reputation, even if not true, then it is hard to get past it in that situation. Also he realized his feelings for fumi and wants to protect him. I hate violence mixed with sex acts; it's rape in this situation no matter how you slice it. I just hope it turns out better than where it seems to be heading. I need a happy ending on this one. And that gang leader needs a taste of his own medicine.
