So the director doesn't give an f bout his son, he's just using him.as a golden goose and killed Jupiter's lover before. He doesn't like when Jupiter gets a lover and his attention moves away from working for the center 24/7, so heplans on framing Jupiter for another death of an esper, gets him to jail, Caden tries to sniff out and questions the director, the director drugs him, Jupiter realizing what his father is doing offers the party framing him to work for him instead and he offers 10 times the money. So the officer kidnaps him instead and asks for 20 times ransom from the director. The director then sends Caden to save Jupiter and plans to kill him in front of him afterwards to cause Jupiter trauma, but the police officer tells Jupiter about his father's plan and that same thing happened to his ex, Jason. Caden does find him through gps, buy they are chased by the directors guards so they jump down a lake. Jupiter almost drowns but Caden gives cpr and saves him (it was intense scene cuz he's like I lost Anna once, not you now, or else there's no point of me surviving alone). They flee to a wooden cottage for the night and confess (oh my god it was so good), papapa happens (which I couldn't read cuz of diamonds). Caden tells Jupiter he'll take him somewhere far away to escape together. The next morning they are found by Blaise's people and brought back to safety (ch 49 which is I'm reading currently).
