Well technically she's a child with a memory of her past life. I mean, probably the logic here would be her mental age should match her age. It's good that she has memories of her 1st life but she's already living in the present hence she acts that way.
The story is not bad per se, but isn't the FL mentally an adult? A scientist at that, she should have a more mature personality right? It's just off putting to see her acting like a child. And most of the characters are so unlikeable, especially the cousin. The story started off so interesting but as more unlikeable character appearing, it feels annoying to read.
