Dunno what to feel about that ending. The mother was so important but we only see her for a couple of chapters with mc (not including the flashback scenes). I thought she would have a bigger role in mc's NEW life since I thought she was a powerful mage. The story was fast paced, which I'm not mad at but I think the story could've been stretched out a little more so it didn't feel too fast. Overall, I'd rate it 3.8/5.
