That's cuz Jess used to feed on dead people's blood. In the later chs Yohan provided Jess his own blood (alive) which made Jess grow powerfull

Toxic in a way since Yohan ends up yearning for Jess so intensely to the point of locking him up in his “new house” but lowkey their feelings for each other were mutual. Jess just didn’t want to burden Yohan with feelings of abandonment the way his ex-fiancé abandoned him—Basically he was scared Yohan would abandon him which is why he kept rejecting Yohan’s feelings for him along with his own feelings for Yohan.
It’s toxicity doesn’t last forever and it’s recently got to the best good chapters reading after picking this back up from chapters 54.
I just read up to ch 26, not sure if I want to continue. I have some questions, spoiler is fine, could someone please answers?
Why Jess is so weak? I m confused how could be so weak compared to pandora and Gabrielle? I understand he couldn't regenerated because he was kept in the room without moonlight. But yohan gave him blood, and treated his wounds. But jess couldn't break his cuff and chains. And he was scared to shoot people using gun.
Maybe because usual vampire story, vampire have super strength power, it's confusing how weak Jess is.
Also, I can read confinement or gwanggong, but I couldn't read it, if it's doesn't make sense. Please share spoilers. And answers. Thank you
