I understand what you mean but my main problem is that how do you want to make a story where both characters are in a health relationship when you add a rape scene between them? I could be wrong but for me this story was not sold as a toxic one, and I didn't feel it that this would end like that at the beginning. Its not a hate or anything
I think the art the author released influenced people to think it would be more wholesome than it actually was (a lot of childhood memories/romantic art being posted on her Twitter). The problem is that it’s an omegaverse, which is a trope that is inherently problematic (it mirrors real world gender issues) + in the first release of the story, it was understood that it wouldn’t be a fluffy story. The author seems less interested in portraying a healthy relationship. She’s more focused on themes like “fate, pride, and a love that refuses to yield”. So I don’t think the goal was to show something morally good or bad, but what makes a relationship intense and lasting within the work. Fiction vs. real life gets messy is completely different—what works narratively isn’t always meant to be acceptable in reality. Btw this isn’t me justifying the rape—the author herself presents it as an extremely problematic behavior with questionable intentions. Their relationship will have to undergo a lot of work if they are meant to meet each other where they are + last.
Thank you for this comment couse it helped to get more things clear. But yeah you are right - by showing me childhood memories etc. it made me feel emotional and I just expected to be a fluff story. For me its important to make stories about topics like this but I just didn't expect it in this one because its hard for me to understand how characters after this can end up together happy (and that's what mostly happens it mahwas that have rape, I mean by this - that the author makes a clear happy ending but its hard for me to belive this ending if things like that happened). Hope you understand this couse english its not my first language so I just struggle to make it at least a little bit logical.
The thing is the author was clear from the start that the characters are Morally dubious .why this is problematic is because the people who are reading it actually didn't understand that they paint these characters as good innocent people and yearning type when it's not and now that the author is doing what they wanted to do from the very beginning people are losing their Minds as if they can never imagine this happening which is pissing me of because I have been screaming from day one that Su-ah is not a green flag like the way you people are thinking from the very beginning. I couldn't even say anything about su-ah because people would literally Bash me with hate comments even though I am damn right
Don’t worry, you’re conveying your thoughts clearly to me! And yes, all the art on Twitter is them happy and care-free looking. It’s completely different from what we’re seeing right now in the story…I don’t blame you for feeling confused at how they’ll end up happy and in love. I think for now, try not to focus on the ending and try to just go along with the flow of the story. See what you learn, what you pick up, and what you feel when you read it. I’m more curious on what the author will do to make these two “work” and I have faith in her storytelling

I don’t think a lot of you have what it takes to read a slow burn story, ngl. Especially with a story with this kind of update schedule (every 10 days). And no, I’m not going to start debating on the morality of the characters in this story—it’s been obvious from day one that both MCs are morally dubious at best and red flags at worse. If you want something wholesome and gives you a quick rush of dopamine, go looking for other stories. If you can’t handle this, you’re not gonna get what you want out of reading. There’s plenty of fluff and less complexity out there for you to discover.
