Finally caught up with the latest season and boy, oh boy, is the writing going in circles for..4 seasons now?

Yeah, Jaehyuk deeefinitely needed a wake up call and a redemption arc back in S1/2 because my guy was trash to begin with and, back then, good on Garam for setting boundaries and calling him out on his bs. But since then, I feel like the plot revolves around Jaehyuk being sort of an oblivious idiot who relies on secret, grandiose acts of love and Garam straight up treating him like trash outwardly, while stressing inwardly. They fight, make up and have sex.
And it's always played out in the same way..regardless of the cause of the fight, Jaehyuk inevitably makes the "bigger" mistake and has to apologize and Garam begrudingly forgives him.

Plus, I realized that the whole relationship is actually pretty toxic (LE: ok, not toxic, but unhealthy for sure), if you think about it. It's been fostered such that Garam hates any and all love acts (except for physical ones) which in turn has trained Jaehyuk to make decisions in secret which then leads to the latest miscommuncation issue, a fight, and ultimately a make up. Not to mention how it doesn't feel much like a relationship anyways because they don't discuss anything, ever.

None of this is inherently a bad subject to write about, but when the last 2 and a half seasons have been nothing but lack of communication --> fight --> Jaehyuk apology, it feels a bit stale at this point.
