I got what I hoped for but it feels weird??? I think I am good at predicting the endgame but what is this??? Storywise it should have been Jo, right? Such a wild take from mangaka. I really like that even a veteran like me can be surprised. Good for TJ and Ian, their chemistry is not from this world. Jo should live a normal healthy life, hopefully he will find happiness (perhaps with someone that does not bring up his worst sides but his best).

    Jo was positioned as a MC (first character to be introduced, the blurb focuses on him etc) but Doyak never explicitly clarified as him being a 1st or 2nd ML. Most readers just assumed that because he was the first love interest to be introduced and the first part of the story is narrated mostly from his pov, that he would ultimately get with Ian. Most readers approached the story as the traditional textbook love triangle story where the 1st love interest to be introduced vying for the “mc” ultimately ends up with the mc…but that’s happens when the story is told from the pov of the character (“mc”) caught between two love interests…but Doyak kind of subverts the love triangle narrative by positioning the 2nd love interest as the first character to be introduced and also be the mc. But imo all characters are mc. There’s no definitive MMC, 1st male lead, 2nd male lead. If you view the story from this perspective, you’re less likely to be shocked and even butthurt that the story ended in such a way.
    Mc = Main Character btw.

    Story wise clearly it’s TJ because that’s just how the story went.
    It could have gone in another direction but both options were plausible from my pov until we reached chapter 95 imo.
    After rereading the story multiple times it clearly leans more towards TJ. But reading every 10 days it’s easy to forgot little details that made the ending “”obvious””

    Exactly.If you reread the chapters you can see how clearly Taejoon and Ian are characterised in a way where they’re deeply intertwined with each other and the only likeliness of them not choosing each other is if Taejoon or Ian died lol…however most readers still think because Jo is supposedly the main character, that he can’t end up with nothing.

    Yes, if we consider Jo the 1st ML, thank god for once the 2nd ML won and it’s not unheard of that the 1st ML lose

    Tbh Jo didn’t end up with “nothing” because why should he straight up be in another relationship he held an exhibition how cool is that. Also Destiny wanted him back lol
