But anyway, the ending hurt me but not because he ended up with the person who hurt him the most, or because he had to choose between them and couldn’t choose himself. It hurt because of how real it felt. One day, we might all have to choose to stay with something or someone that hurts us, simply because we’re too afraid to value ourselves. And in doing that, we slowly lose control of our own reality, until it no longer feels like it was ever ours. I’m sorry if I keep trying to find meaning in this manhwa it just really got me ╥﹏╥

It feels like Ian is the receiver of this every statement and he stayed with what he knows that feels comfortable for him.

If I would look on personification of the three main character
Ian- Personify guilt and selflessness, because the way he cant value himself as much as he value others and he also felt guilty for corrupting jo world and guilty for trying to leave tj.
Spoiler# In the last arc Ian chooses Tj and that made me questioned myself on, why would Ian even have to choose between Tj and Jo? why cant he choose himself instead? Why he have to put himself in a toxic enviroment? there I realized how selfless he Is.
Jo- Represent painful hope and yearning, I will explain why he represent painfull hope since it is obvious the he is a yearner.
Jo represnt painful hope because he is the "Mirror" of the life that Ian could have but was stolen by the gand and Tj.
Additonally, Throughout the manhwa I would say he himself is the "Wetsand" Because from afar he is solid and beautiful but because of Ian was weigh down by his trauma as soon as he try to enter jo world he start to sink.
A wet sand can support person light and unburdened, however If that person carry a heavy load (Ian trauma) the sand will start to pull you down.
Tj -represent trauma I would say he is the "Architect" of Ian emotional and physical pain,
physically abusing Ian as if he is trying to mark Ian as his.
Lastly
Jo is the LIGHT that hurt Ian eye while Tj is the DARKNESS that Ian learn to sleep in, this explain why Ian choose Tj and it is not because he force himself to, but he choose the person that hurt him because that person is the only one that trully "know" him.
