It IS very much a platonic story. Rather than romantic feelings, it's about compassion and motherly love(?) I would say. I do agree the author made it pretty weird in the last few chapters if I remember correctly. Oh and the implication of the father saying she's still young in ch 11 has no other meaning. She IS young, she has a whole life full of opportunities and chances waiting for her. I'm sure he meant it that way too.
It is not platonic is borderline romantic and has a lot of sexual innuendos. The only reason it isn’t full on romance is bc the creator has a few pieces of moral left. He did not mean it in a ‘she has more opportunities waiting for her’ that’s just cope. It was weird the whole way but got weirder as time went on

The boy is 12 the woman is 30.…. Why on earth are y'all saying you shipped them romantically? This should definitely be a platonic story it's morally wrong to ship a 12 year old with a 30 year old even if he grows up.. I'm glad the writer didn't do it-even though the story has weird panels- had 2 drop on ch 11 after the dad said she's still young... CIA needs to check yall hard drives
