The author luckily said the angst wouldn’t last I believe but I’m taking Twitter’s translation with a grain of salt, that being said I’m definitely predicting some kind of argument between Baekhee and Ilwoo because of Gyeom or what Baekhee is going to find out through the phone. Not like a physical altercation type argument but I definitely think Baekhee’s codependence with Gyeom is going to be addressed. Even if Baekhee had the spine to leave Gyeom it would be hard for him to truly be free from him still in Gicheon because they’re in the same school together, Gyeom could easily bring his friends in to start an issue with Baekhee, Gyeom ultimately has his way with his words and is basically using his trauma against Baekhee so all that are probably going to be factors as to why Baekhee STRUGGLES to leave Gyeom. That being said Ilwoo would probably be right by Baekhee’s side if worst comes to worst but it’s still a lot for the BOTH of them.
