I suspect that the reason Rogers took a liking to our MC and want her to marry Allen so badly is that she reminds him of Charlotte. Not sure whether he want her just because he want the next heir to be similar or because once she is married and gave birth to the next heir he can keep her around for himself like Allen’s mother has been kept around.
