Okay this was an incredibly LONG ride and I think it was WORTH IT. I am in awe with both the main characters, especially our female lead. She really...leads. The male lead sure got less time to shine own his own but I think his character development was fitting in the end, as an emperor none the less. It was surely striking to what we knew him as but I think I liked it. A major complain I would have with the story would be the men falling for our female lead. Like i could let 1 pass, maybe 2 pass. But everyone?? Like come on! And i know she is loyal to one man till the end, it's not a character problem- it's a writer problem!!! Why did the writer have to add all that. It was unnecessary, it added nothing to the plot and it was sometimes just a factor to make the already darkening male lead jealous? Their inbetween fights were also odd, it was majorly the female lead actually deserving of the treatment she got from the male lead, but she got off of it way too easy. In my opinion, I kind of can not stop comparing her to an average male mc (even if it's not from her side) collecting girls like Pokemons. Like do we need that? Was it giving anything to the plot? Not really it was just the writer adding it for funsies and I didn't like it that much, it was just like wow okay, can we move on from that-- Now i really think this was extremely interesting to read, but the male lead really got less time to shine. The other male characters were damsel in distress, or overly devoted. I would have appreciated loyalty out of respect and not just love in the story as well. The women were cool, no lie. I consider isak the only true friend of our mc. I liked that they didn't make Delilah an easy woman, it was fresh to see her actually own up to her dream. Honestly I love this story as a WHOLE but the odd things our mc did really put me off sometimes-- (not assuring the male lead in a normal way and instead acting like those jerk guys who just say I love u iove only u when anything happens- like then maybe stop getting into misunderstanding situations!?) I liked their relationship dynamic but genuinely she got it off too easy in some cases- The romantic misunderstandings were never cleared when it could have been done quite EASILY So i seriously don't blame the male lead to end up becoming possessive, I do miss the blushy guy now and then and I enjoyed it when we saw his cute sides again Ig i am just upset we got less male lead screen time cuz I needed him to have his own moments too!!! But I love them both. And i especially love how new and fresh this entire story was!!
