I don’t think it’s jumbled, but rather condensed in content, making it hard to follow. The first chapter does start off weird; it makes more sense in the live action. I watched the live action a while ago, but I do recommend it and it’s a lot easier to follow, since the gaps caused by the manga’s small content level are filled in. I hope you enjoy the live action if you do watch it! :)
