In no way am I defending Suah’s fucked up actions nor am I undermining the severity of rape and SA, I just think that this manhwa does not warrant the need for such concerns. In the end this is just another pwp filled with cliche troupes, the author would just glaze over anything serious so idk why some people are taking this way too seriously by bringing in actual real life matters. I mean this is omegaverse, everything about it is dubious. Plus, it’s fictional, in no way would it be relevant enough for actual justice to be enacted by bringing up the manhwa’s toxic themes. And yes, people are allowed to leave their opinions about this manhwa in which ever way they want. I just don’t think that people should be shamed for enjoying this manhwa and finding it entertaining when it was created to be entertaining.

I’m sure you’re aware sa is more about power than pleasure and ppl view domination as masculine. Toxic as it may be. And with the lack of a female character/dynamic in BL’s, what’s the easiest and most unnecessary way for an author to exert a characters dominance? Especially towards another male… connect the dots. I can expound on that more though since it may seem random..
3, so what if this narrative device is common? There needs to be a question as to why authors feel the need to use rape and noncon as plot device and character arcs for the perpetrators while n disregarding the victim. It’s weird, a cop out, predictable and in bad taste 99.99% of the time. You can even see how past the comment sections have been victim blaming Juhyeok for not reciprocating su-ha’s ‘affection.’
