I don't understand the hate, this story is beautifully written and so are the characters, and let's not forget the art, it feels real they feel human, and mathias is the character that makes the most sense prideful coz that's what he is and what he had to be from the day he was born, is showing character development, showing emotions processing emotions he never experienced and never thought existed. Layla is pitiful pathetic she knows how it feels, but mathias on the other hand doesn't coz he never experienced it before, and he seems to learn it from her, maybe his ways weren't the best but i still think what's happening is realistically beautiful, idk about y'all i enjoyed this read i m curious to see what mathias will become, and hope layla sees the genuine intentions he has because she misunderstood a lot of his approaches.

U seem quite slow, but if those were his attentions from the beginning a man in his station doesn't even need to hold back nor question his morality, that all.

Maybe his methods weren't the best? He's literally abusing her, and on top of that, he's molesting her (I haven't read much, so I don't know if he's even raping her). You must be delusional and feel the need to defend men, huh?

Ah yes. "His ways" and it's just abuse, borderline rape, and assault. Okay. Not to mention this jerk is a cheater and treats his fiance like she's non existent. And his attitude to his own mother is also the worst.

Why are we defending scum men in 2026?
