Same! And my suspicions were correct all along, she's no loyal guard but a jealous traitor who knew that Jake have only few who he and crown prince trust but she took actions just to satisfy her own feelings or even to frame (or accused strongly) against her opponent.
In addition to that, she even dreamed of marrying Jake (chapter 51) as queen promised her (the nerve!).
She didn't even think that once the crown prince was gone, it was already complete betrayal since the purpose of Jake was to be the strong backing of the crown prince, and if the assassination succeeded, Jake ultimately don't want to marry the princess, absolutely don't want his bestfriend to die and she knew these will happen if the assassination plan succeeded.
Cyncthia, just to satisfy her own desire to marry Jake (be by his side), dare to betray him! She have the nerve to carry the guilt that will come along with it if that happens, never thinking of the country falling into the enemy's hands and ruins everything with it!!
That's why from the moment she STRONGLY INSISTED that Sarah was the one who assassinated the crown prince, even if she have NO EVIDENCE OF THE ACTUAL SCENARIO and even getting her into execution immediately, not even having a trial to clear her name. Since she should initially side with Jake and be considerate for him or do everything she could to help him (investigate) on his worry over his wife getting accused, if she really cares for Jake without aiming for him but her ABNORMALLY EXAGGERATED STRONG EXPRESSIONS while accusing Sarah give her away immediately! ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Take note that she betrayed him NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE!
Did she even think that queen would fulfill her promise of marrying Jake (even as 2nd wife)? As Jake scheming enemy, I'm sure Cynthia knows she will be eliminated by the Queen once her purpose is gone, truly foolish of her to dream something would never come true.
Even if she'll be able to remain by his side, she have no political backing to support Jake against his political enemies which Jake is having hard time against.. So what will be her purpose then? Emotional support? (as if she could be, Jake will always be emotionally drained and eventually turn soulless since the ultimate problem will never be solved) Conceived an heir? Creating a happy family with Jake? Her heads is on the flower garden if that happens lol
Even if it comes true, I'm sure she knows Jake will be hard pressed, become puppet of the queen (which he despises the most!) and once the crown prince died since he'll have no one to support him anymore.
Once the whole plan is ruined, she betrayed not only Jake but the crown prince in whom Jake trust on Cynthia to guard for (since they only have few who sided with them inside the Royal Castle).. anyways I'm just repeating what I said and thanks for reading my long rant against the useless fool.
