Hi! So, Weikun is a Ghost Alpha and Yeehyeon is his Diamond Dust. Basically, even as a beta, Diamond Dusts emit pheromones that only Ghost Alphas can smell (this is how Ghost Alphas recognise them as theirs in the beginning), and only Ghost Alphas have the ability to change their (originally beta) Diamond Dusts into omegas through intense and continuous physical intimacy. Diamond Dusts can also smell their Ghost Alpha's pheromones.
If you remember in the latter part of the novel where they explored the contents of the diary, Weikun's Ghost Alpha ancestor(?) who was sent secretly to turn an aristocrat into an omega recognised the aristocrat's beta servant as his Diamond Dust because of the servant's pheromones.
Tl;dr: Beta Diamond Dusts emit pheromones only their Ghost Alphas can smell. This is how Ghost Alphas can recognise them as theirs upon meeting. Diamond Dusts can also smell their Ghost Alpha's pheromones even if they're still betas. They're basically made for each other! ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

We know that uke is actually a beta and change to an omega due to too much sesx and knotting and all that (it was so hot btw ;)). Then how come in the beginning, seme claimed that he emits pheromone and he can smell it when nothing happens to them yet??? idk.. sorry, maybe i missed it or I haven't read far enough. I just need to get this out and quench my curiosity.....help!
